Pet Peeve: His treatment pole beeping in the hospital

It was the beginning of Fall 2018, when a weeks’ long pain in his right arm sent Chase to the doctor. His family assumed it was a football injury, but an MRI discovered the actual cause, osteosarcoma, bone cancer. Chase was sent to the hospital for his first round of chemotherapy.

In December 2018, the tumor was removed, and a donor bone was implanted. Months of physical therapy were needed for Chase to regain use of his arm above the elbow. Although chemo was completed in May of 2019, it was a struggle for Chase to learn and accept he could no longer play football. Through it all, Chase was a true Baller warrior, and in the end a Champ throughout the process.
